Sir Anthony Seldon (OT), the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buckingham, is one of Britain’s leading contemporary historians, educationalists, commentators and political authors. He has written over forty books on contemporary history, including biographies of our last four Prime Ministers. He has also been an outstanding Headmaster for 20 years, first of Brighton and then of Wellington College, having cut his teeth as Head of History and Politics here at Tonbridge.
In this lecture, Sir Anthony will discuss how the job of 'PM' has evolved over the last three centuries, particularly in recent times. No 10 Downing Street will also feature, as the celebrated but puzzling and ill-suited home to 39 Prime Ministers.
