The second iteration of the Tonbridge Business Breakfast took place on Tuesday 18 June. The topic of the event was 'Sustainability Opportunities for Businesses, Children and Societies', and the speaker was current parent Emma Tinker (WH).
Emma is a private equity investment director with over 15 years of experience in sustainable real assets and corporate strategy. In 2016, Emma founded Asper Investment Management, where she is the Chief Investment Officer, and in the same year became the Non Executive Director of Good Energy, an energy service company that aims to help Britain towards the goal of net zero carbon emissions.
The talk focused on the present and future of sustainability in the UK and was followed by a Q&A and discussion for attendees, provoking insightful and relevant conversation, which provided an opportunity to network amongst the Tonbridge community.
Many thanks to all who attended the event, and to Emma for her stimulating discussion.
The next iterations of the Tonbridge Business Breakfasts will be focused on 'A New Landscape for the UK Economy' by Yael Selfin on 19 September, and 'How Formula E is Changing the Planet, One Race at a Time' on 15 October, by Jeff Dodds. The details for these events will be published next week and in September respectively.
