I hope everyone is well and looking forward to the season ahead. Please see the message below for some announcements about the upcoming season.
Cricketer Cup
OTCC face Old Wykehamists on The Head on Sunday 9th June in the First Round of the Cricketer Cup. The 2024 draw can be found here: https://www.thecricketercup.com/draws-fixtures
OTCC Cricket Day
The annual OTCC cricket day will take place on Sunday 4th August on The Head. It will be the same format as last year – a short format game in the afternoon followed by a BBQ and some drinks. Please put the date in your diaries! Details to follow in due course.
OTCC – Friendly Fixtures
In addition to the Cricketer Cup and OT Cricket Day, we would like to organise some other fixtures throughout the summer. If you have any ideas for other fixtures, please get in touch.
OT County Cricketers
Zak Crawley (WH 2011-2016) and Marcus O'Riordan (FH 2011-2016) will both be playing for Kent CCC over the course of the summer. Toby Pettman (WW 2011-2016) will also be playing for Nottinghamshire CCC. If you get the chance, do go and watch the lads in action. We also look forward to seeing Zak in action for England too!
Ollie Sykes – Wisden Schools Cricketer of the Year
Congratulations to Ollie Sykes (HS 2018-23) who has been named Wisden Schools Cricketer of the Year for the 2023 season. Ollie scored 935 runs and took 30 wickets in the 2023 season for Tonbridge and he is the first Tonbridgian to win the award. See more here:
Nick Lord Memorial Service
To celebrate the life of Nick Lord (CR 1983-2024), a Memorial Service is being held on Tuesday 7 May at 4pm in the Chapel of St Augustine, followed by a reception in the Orchard Centre. Nick was a cricket fanatic and a massive supporter of Tonbridge cricket. To register for the service, please use the link below:

Zak Crawley, Ed Smith and Mark Nicholas – A Conversation on Cricket
On Tuesday 7th May at 8pm, Zak Crawley (WH 2011-2016), Ed Smith (WH 90-95) and Mark Nicholas will be in conversation regarding the past and future landscape of cricket and its close links with Tonbridge.
