Cricketer Cup

The first round of the Cricketer Cup was successfully negotiated vs Repton Pilgrims on The Head. An impressive bowling and fielding display, with good spells from Pettman and O’Riordan meant that the OTs chased down a below par total, thanks to 70 odd not out from Tom Elliot.

In similar fashion to the 2017 season, the OTs went out in the second round to Eton Ramblers. The bowling on the whole was very good, in particular the spin trio of O’Riordan, Cowdrey. F and Cope. We let ourselves down with batting and, although a tough wicket at Eton, none of the batsman apart from Elliot applied themselves successfully.

Sevenoaks Vine Tournament

The OTs successfully regained the Sevenoaks Vine 6-a-side competition. The OTs won their group comfortably before overcoming their opponents by 25 runs in the final. Squad: Ed Hyde (captain), Marcus O’Riordan, Jono Arscott, Alex Moen, Julian O’Riordan, Adam Sixsmith and Richie Oliver.

OTs vs Charterhouse Friars

The Friars were hosted for on The Head for a second successive year due to the Charterhouse square being dug up. The OT victory was celebrated in Alishan before moving swiftly to Spoons where a pleasant time was had by all.

Cowdrey Cup

The school’s 1st XI – now all OTs having left Tonbridge this summer – won the Cowdrey Cup in June, having competed against strong opposition in Eton, Harrow, Wellington, Radley and Charterhouse throughout the season.
