Following the success of Enola Holmes, in 2020, the sequel Enola Holmes 2 has recently been released on Netflix to great acclaim. Our very own Gabriel Wheble (stage name Tierney), joined the leading cast as William Lyon, playing alongside actors including Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter and David Thewlis. The film tells the story of Enola (Millie Bobby Brown), the rebellious teen sister of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), who is a gifted super-sleuth in her own right and often outsmarts her famous sibling. Emmy and BAFTA-winning director Harry Bradbeer and writer Jack Thorne also returned for the sequel, which is based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer. According to one review “William Lyon has a small screen presence, yet the role is impactful”. Gabriel, who had to learn to ballroom dance for Enola Holmes 2, is also known for playing John-Paul Martinelli in TV’s Endeavour. (WH 11-16) |
