Giving back |
Mother died of cancer two weeks ahead of my GCSEs. This year I am running the London Marathon to raise money for Child Bereavement UK; a charity established to "support families and educate professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement". Tonbridge was brilliant and I am indebted to some wonderful staff as well as friends (several who remain best buddies today) who did their best to support but it was 1995 and there was none of the pastoral care that exists today and CB UK is now there to provide support in the toughest of circumstances. Details of Child Bereavement UK are here https://www.childbereavementuk.org and the Just One Minute videos speak for themselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL_eX30bbQE Thank you to those that have supported me already but should you wish to contribute; please do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/robert-richards8 Rob Richards (1992-1997 WW and CH) |
