| The family of the late Dr Robert Galloway Richardson (MH 40-44) have donated copies of the medical research books that he authored to the Tonbridge School archives. The School’s Headmaster James Priory and archivist Bev Matthews welcomed the late Dr Richardson’s nephew, Neill Buchanan and family, to the Skinners’ Library where they received the books, along with Mr and Mrs Buchanan’s two grandsons who are current boys at the school. Dr Robert Galloway Richardson attended Tonbridge School throughout the war years and went on to Brasenose College, Oxford. He trained as a doctor at the Middlesex Hospital and eventually became a medical historian of note, writing various books and articles. He died in 2012, leaving a generous bequest to the school. As Bev Matthews explained: “It was wonderful to meet several generations of one family and hear about their connections to Tonbridge school and the interesting career of Dr Richardson. We are always pleased to accept materials that help us expand our archive collection and celebrate the incredible 460-year history of people connected to Tonbridge School”.
