OT Ash Dodd (CH 18-23) is a singer-songwriter who has begun to make a mark on the national music scene. Ash's music has been described as being inspired by Phoebe Bridgers, Sam Fender and Paolo Nutini, with Local and Live describing it as 'crucial self-expression' and as 'transforming sadness to beauty.' Hot Vox has described the music as a 'rich blend of heartfelt lyrics and catchy riffs that is sure to resonate with all types of people.'
Ash has busked across the South East of England, in locations such as Brighton Lanes and Borough Market, having first performed live at the age of 12. Ash is currently at university, but continues to develop music as a form of expression, citing global concerns such as mental health, young love and the challenges of navigating social life as a young person today.
Begin Again, Ash's musical debut was released in 2020 at the age of just 16 has achieved over 3000 streams on Spotify. Ash will be performing at the Amersham Arms in New Cross, London on Saturday 18 May at 4pm. Tickets can be found here for those wishing to attend and support this talented young OT.
