Hawk of the Year: Ed Hyde (CUCC, CURC, CURTC, CURFC, CUAFL) The Hawks’ Club, which has been in existence since 1872, represents elite sportsmen at the University of Cambridge and the ‘Hawk of the Year’ Award recognises outstanding achievement and commitment to sport.Author: Alex Moen (FH 13-18) writes: Congratulations to Ed Hyde who is the 2019-20 Hawks’ Club Hawk of the Year! Ed has played (and refereed) at an exceptionally high standard across a plethora of sports, representing no fewer than six clubs so far in his university career. His many sporting achievements include this year topping the University batting averages in the summer of 2019, as well as captaining the Rackets Club to a thumping victory in the Varsity Match in January 2020.
