Ben Jeffries (SH 09-14) has been nominated for the Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year prize at this year’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Ben, 22, is being recognised for his role in founding the online platform, Influencer.
The company, which is now based in Bloomsbury but was founded at Ben’s Tunbridge Wells home, makes its money by connecting businesses or individuals wanting to promote their products with ‘influencers.’
Influencers are individuals, usually famous or well-known in a certain field, whose large online followings make them ideal to showcase products and sway consumer appetites.
The Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognises entrepreneurs driving a profit-making business whose output is the unique product of intellectual property. The finals will be hosted in London on 11 November 2018.
