We are delighted to report that George has been selected to represent Cambridge in the Blue Boat on Sunday 13 April. The Boat Race will see Oxford and Cambridge go head-to-head over the traditional four-mile course from Putney to Mortlake on the River Thames. Cambridge have been the dominant force in the Boat Race over the past few years winning six of the last eight men's races.

Ealier this year, on Saturday 8 February, Cambridge University Boat Club were at the British February Trials in Boston where Team GB held its final open trial of the season. Cambridge University was represented by eleven athletes, facing top domestic talent across the five-kilometre course.
Racing in cold, grey conditions, George Bourne and fellow Cambridge student, Douwe de Graaf, again formed a winning pair in the M2- with a time of 16:49.70, building on their success in December.
These trials are the first step to LA 2028 for the GB crews and George's win is very impressive. This is the race that Sir Matthew Pinsent and Sir Steve Redgrave would be winning back in the day, and places George among the top rowers in the country.
