A phenomenal voice and talent, Freddie only realised that he had a great voice after he dropped out of university in his second year and started singing again with his former teacher at Tonbridge. He had had no formal training in music or singing, other than the lessons in School, so it was a steep learning curve. His teacher quickly realised that his voice had gone from “fine” to “pretty good, actually” and encouraged him to apply to the Royal Academy of Music.
