A group of Parents’ Arts members took part in a 3 day trip to Milan in October, exploring the art, history and culture of this remarkable city and capital of the Lombardy region. The trip included a guided walking tour, during which the group was able to witness first hand the influence of Celtic, Roman, Hun, French, Spanish and Austrian invaders, each of whom left their mark on the city. Over the course of the trip the group visited the city's finest historical and cultural sites, including the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuale and the church of San Maurizio; often described as the Sistine Chapel of Milan.
