Will May has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Tonbridge School, and will be taking over from interim Bursar Susan Meikle ahead of the next academic year. In this role, he will be involved in overseeing the day-to-day management and running of the School and its various departments, as well as working on financial strategy with Jane Fentiman, who has been newly-appointed as Finance Director and Company Secretary of the School. Will currently serves as the Commercial Director at the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury, and has previously worked in Kenya as Head of Procurement for an oil company. Of the new appointment, Headmaster James Priory has said: “I have been impressed by the strategic and commercial experience Will offers, and am excited by the energy and creativity he brings to this important new role for the School. “I look forward to us working together to sustain all that makes Tonbridge such an outstanding school and powerful contributor to the wider community.” Congratulations to Will on his appointment, and we look forward to welcoming him in his new role in the coming months. |
