| Dr Jamie Parker (WW 94-99) has been behind his piano creating numerous unique versions of popular songs in a plea to the public to stay at home during the coronavirus to help protect the NHS during this time. The singing GP has become an Internet sensation after he turned Disney's Frozen into a 'stay at home' anthem with the help of his piano. Dr Jamie Parker, 39, of Bunny, who works at Wollaton Park Medical Centre, said he was shocked to find people were not following the government guidance around staying indoors. He uploaded his song on to a number of social media channels and was astonished at the results. "Twenty-four hours later Capital Radio was playing the song and it was on BBC, Sky News and Chris Evans Breakfast Show. Dr Parker said there has been "an increasing number of people" who have contacted the surgery with symptoms which could be coronavirus. The surgery's car park has been used to take temperatures and measure oxygen levels so doctors can make a clinical judgement on whether patients need hospital treatment. Musically-minded, he decided to sit behind his piano and come up with a catchy way to spread the message. "Music is a good medium of spreading an important message." "People love the songs. With all the doom and gloom, it is good to spread the message in a different way."
