The England Rugby Team may have sadly narrowly missed out on advancing past the Rugby World Cup Semi-Finals, but their victory on the 27 October still earned them a very respectable third place in the tournament, as they beat out fierce competitors Argentina 26-23 in a hard-fought match.
The team were able to rally together and claim bronze, with OT Ben Earl's performance in particular being praised by media outlets such as The Telegraph, The Guardian and Eurosport, who congratulated him on his display of sporting prowess. Earl scored an impressive try, contributing to England's victory, and The Standard even named him 'Man of The Tournament.'
Earl has been named a 'Breakthrough Star' in England Rugby following his outstanding performance at the World Cup, where he consistently supported the team throughout their efforts in the tournament, and we are certain that his fellow Old Tonbridgians share the sentiment of pride felt by us all at Tonbridge as we look forward to his future appearances.
