On Sunday 14 July, Old Tonbridgians defeated Old Millfieldians by six wickets in the Quarter Finals of the Cricketer Cup at Tonbridge School. The game was reduced to 35 overs per side due to a wet pitch and OTCC won the toss electing to field. Harry Bevan-Thomas secured the vital wicket off Daniel Bell-Drummond (Kent CCC captain), after which Tonbridge seized control of the match. Marcus O’Riordan took 4-27, whilst Tom Coldman and Bevan-Thomas both took two wickets to bowl Old Millfieldians out for 136. In response, Marcus O’Riordan led the chase with 37, with Julian O’Riordan (28) and Ant Bissett (27 not out) making handy contributions to ensure Tonbridge reached the target with four overs to spare. OTCC will face Haileybury Hermits in the Semi Finals on Sunday 28 July at Haileybury, 11.30am start. Any support welcome!
